Just used the dry lube in combination with skiff bearings on my project x and it isnt shake shut anymore. It glides shut. Also the kpl dryvlube ELIMINATED a small amount of lock stick. Great stuff.

Good knife maintenance starts with great maintenance products. Knife Shield-excellent cleaner and inhibitor. Dry Film-superior dry lube leaving no residue. Use these and your maintenance becomes easier and quicker. Both have enhanced the care for my blades and will continue to.
I'm really satisfied with this knife maintenance kit; it has all the essential components in one set. I think it'll be fun to maintain and service my knives with this.
This KPL dry film is some fantastic stuff, my Kershaw Belair with KVT bearings and a couple of drops of KPL dry film has a scarry fast blade deployment. I was contemplating on loosening the pivot screw slightly to smooth out and release the blade tension but backed off that idea and went shopping for some bearing lube and stumbled across KPL dry film, so I purchased a bottle and waited patiently for the arrival of this liquid Gold, glad I did, this dry film definitely made a HUGE difference in the function of my Kershaw. For those looking for a superior product to keep your pocket knives is smooth working order, give KPL a try first, you'll be glad you did! I am the owner of Veff Sharpening Service and I have been operating since 1989. In the past 34 years I've tried dozens of so called miracle lubricants for knives and scissors. Most of them worked about as well as 3-in one oil which is not very impressive. I have been using KPL lubes for about 4 months and have found them to be far superior to any and all other oils that I have used. The KPL 15Wt is ideal for the vast majority of knives. The KPL Dry Lube is excellent for professional hair styling shears as well as any knives that you would prefer to use a dry lube. Thanks for a great product that lives up to its claims. The new Microtech Ram-Lok knives use multi row bearings to support the blades and KPL Dry Film works beautifully!!! I’ll be experimenting with other applications soon. Very pleased with the product.

Just finished sharpening the kitchen knives. Used the Knife Shield on the blades, it cleaned off the blades great and left them looking nice. Also used the Camellia Knife Oil on some of my cast iron cookware. I just purchased a remake based off an 1879 wrench, used the Dry Lube on the threads to help keep dust and dirt off the threads. Next is off to clean and re-lube the folders in my collection.

However, once I notified Ryan at KPL, he not only immediately and without question, set things right but was very generous, exceeding my every expectation; demonstrating a level of customer service that is very rare indeed in today’s retail environment. I have now have used all the KPL products. I believe there is nothing comparable in Canada. I’m very satisfied with their performance, even in all kinds of applications other than knives. For example, they are great for lubricating fishing reels, folding Silky saws and I now use the KPL DRY FILM on my exterior deadbolt locks to prevent them from freezing up in winter. Old school lock back didn't want pocket lint plugging it up. Reduced opening effort considerably & hasn't needed to be reapplied at this time (two weeks).
When the oil evaporates the left over protection is very viscous and creates additional drag on the bearings and the washers. Overall I don't like the feel of the knife and had to clean it and use conventional oil. I'm sure it's a great product, as far as rust prevention, ease of application and the like.... just not what I was looking for.

For the longest time, I wanted a liquid lube that goes on wet and dries to an actual film as advertised. Most "dry lubes" do not fully dry and that was what kept me away from these products. KPL dry film actually delivers on this promise and true to the video ad, the liquid dries within seconds, leaving behind nothing but a well-bonded clear film. This film is what provides lubrication and it does not drip and does not attract dust nearly as much as an oil or a grease would. The lubricity of the system was to my satisfaction. It certainly isn't the glassy kind of feel you get from a PFPE grease or the slick sensation from a classic oil. However, it is fully satisfactory and appears to be as long-lasting as a basic oil with the added benefit of being completely mess-free. 9/10, will buy again
Honestly I thought it was just ok in terms of smoothing I honestly couldn't tell a difference with and without which is a shame as I had high hopes for this, I haven't had it long enough to see the protection abilities so I can't say just yet on that

As sparingly as you use Dry Film it has great lubricating properties that flash off after use leaving an extremely clean environment for your knife to operate in. Besides this, the smell itself is very clean and unobtrusive-almost intoxicating. Five star product rated by a longtime user.
I've only used this once so take this review for what it is. That being said I used a minute amount on the bolt of a bolt action pen and the improvement was like going from night to day.
Have used long enough to know for sure, but I have a lot of confidence in the brand.
This is part of a Christmas gift for my son. So, when he is given this gift I then will know if I ordered the correct item. Sorry I cannot say anymore, other than it was easy to order and the item was received quickly and well packaged. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.
